Sunday School Ministry
The Teenage ministry is open to all young people between the age of Thirteen and Nineteen. It forms a bridge between Sunday School and the Youth Ministry. It is at this age that many young people get exposed to a lot of influences, especially upon joining secondary school. It is also at this age that young people undergo physiological and emotional changes and peer pressure.
The Teenage Ministry aims at walking with the Teens in love and understanding, and guiding them through this phase knowing and loving God. It also aims to meet the special needs of teenagers at this stage. It is possible to go through teenage phase knowing and loving God, not being ashamed of it, and still be “cool”.
Theme verse: 1st Tim 4:12 (NLT)Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
Vision
“To build character and raise godly teens”
Core Values
The Teenage ministry is guided by the following core values: Integrity, honesty, teamwork and accountability.
Teens are engaged in serving God through various activities, especially during school holidays. These include: Topical Bible Study sessions, identifying and using their gifts and talents in service in church ministries, e.g. TV and Media, skits and music, and evangelism among teens. The Teens have an adult mentor who provides loving concern and attention and Godly guidance over them. They are also represented by a Patron who forms a link between the Teens and the Church leadership.
