Discipleship Ministry

Discipleship is derived from the word disciple which means follower/believer/student. The discipleship ministry in CCM trains and equips all church members on being followers of Christ and making disciples.

This ministry enhances spiritual and numerical growth in the church as the members learn and make disciples.

The discipleship ministry was birthed almost 2 years ago in order to fulfil the part of the vision of Christ Compassion Ministry of equipping workers for effective ministry. This is achieved by facilitation of weekly discipleship classes, orientation classes for new church members and baptism classes for new converts. The Elder in charge manages discipleship classes’ attendance lists and assessment tests.

Vision

“To equip workers for effective ministry”

Department Structure

The discipleship ministry is headed by an Elder who is answerable to the Church Board. The elder is assisted by one deacon and a number of discipleship class facilitators.

Plans

Our current plan is to conduct graduations by end of February and April for the currently ongoing classes, while continuing with enrolment of new members into discipleship classes. We also plan to have 80% of the current church members graduate through discipleship.
